Shannon Brasil works at the Menopause Center of Excellence in Lake Orion, Michigan. She completed her master’s in nursing at Wayne State University and is a member of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health, the Menopause Society, and the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health. Shannon’s expertise was pivotal in opening one of the first freestanding menopause clinics in Oakland County, and throughout her career, she has served as a consultant for Bonafide health and contributed to many publications on women’s health topics, including reducing heart disease risk during and after menopause, misconceptions about weight management, and perimenopausal nutrition. For more than 20 years, Shannon served as a mentor and preceptor for nurse practitioner students. Her patient care style is defined by her passion for women’s health and her commitment to personalizing treatment plans for each patient. She takes the time to understand their unique needs and preferences, ensuring that they receive the most effective and compassionate care possible.
